LightSaber Umbrella



When the weather's been corrupted by the dark side of the force (as it often is on this sunny isle of ours) what better way to keep yourself dry than with the Lightsabre Umbrella? At first glance it looks just like any other ordinary umbrella, but one click of the button on the handle will illuminate the shaft in a bright flash of Jedi white that's sure to scare off those evil Sith Lords waiting to pounce in the rain. Or it might just make you look super cool on your commute to work. Stand out and be noticed the next time it rains and make your way to the office Jedi style

broadway malyan: national heart centre singapore

broadway malyan will design the new state of the art national heart centre in singapore. this project is part of the larger redevelopment of singapore general hospital’s outram campus. the ten story building will feature active hospital zones on the first six floors and administrative and research space on the upper four levels. courtyards gardens and other open space is integrated throughout the building to help speed up healing through natural light, ventilation and air purification. these common spaces were also designed to encourage socializing and interaction among patients, staff and visitors. the front façade of the building showcases these spaces, along with the cut-away in the rear. the project is set to be complete in 2012.

MANILA: the Mind Museum

The Mind Museum will be a 6,110 square meter facility to be located in a 12,500 square meter lot in Bonifacio Global City, a rapidly developing central business district in Metro Manila. There will be:

3,350 square meters of exhibition space; 500 square meters of educational facilities, that includes auditorium, lab, two classrooms; 800 additional square meters of park area will be designated as Science in the Park; space for food, retail and offices
